1000 Calorie Shake Without Protein Powder
Avoiding whey protein does not mean you have to avoid gains. You can still get a ton of muscle and gain weight without using protein powder. Protein powder may lead to acne and might have ingredients such as refined sugar that you are trying to avoid in your diet. Whatever the reason, if you want a high calorie and high protein shake without protein powder check out this recipe.
If you are looking to avoid whey protein powder specifically it makes little sense for you to drink milk. Whey comes from milk. This smoothie avoids milk. In fact it is fully vegan.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup Oats
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 2 Bananas
- 2 Tbsp Hemp Seed Butter
- 1 Cup Soy Milk
- 1/2 an Avocado
Directions:
A lot of people like to soak the oats over night in the refrigerator. You can do this directly in a blender. I bought a Bullet blender so I can soak oats overnight in my refrigerator.
I just pour the oats and soy-milk into the blender, and leave in the fridge over-night. By morning the oats are nice and soft and easy to fully blend. The Bullet also makes cleanup painless.
Twists:
- Make this smoothie extra healthy by adding a cup of spinach your other green leafs.
